We’ve Done It!!!
On Monday the 23rd of May myself and 19 friends all started our epic journey to Drive from Lands End to John O’Groats in order to raise fund and awareness for Cancer Research… its with great pleasure that I can let you all know that it’s been an amazing success… To date we have raised over £15,000 and still going up.
Those of you that know me will know that I have been planning this charity fund raising event for some time, the idea was conceived back in Nov 2018, and first planned for May 2020, however due to Covid had to be postponed, but we never gave up and this year we did it!!
Why did we do this?
During our lifetimes we have all felt the pain of one of our close family or friends being affected by cancer, that helpless feeling of not knowing what to do and praying that the good Doctors and Nurses can find a cure and make them better; I’m sure if you have ever felt this pain then you can relate to this.
But have you ever thought about where that cure comes from? It comes from the immense work into the research of cancer, and that work cost money. It’s a simple formula, the more money we can donate, the more research that can be done, and the more people we can save.
